...at the southern edge of the Fichtelgebirge and in the midst of the Nature Park Steinwald. The Steinwald is a large, closed forest area and at its foot FRIEDENFELS to be found in a valley opened to the south and protected from northern winds. The highest point is the Platte. with 946m asl with the rebuilt Oberpfalz Tower –and the old Weissenstein Castle with 863 m asl, offering a wonderful panoramic view into the country!
